Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Book Day today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has urged all to celebrate the transformational power of reading to beat the feeling of isolation during this COVID-19 pandemic.
The CM said, “Books help us broaden our knowledge, stimulate our mind, give wings to our imagination and also help us understand cultures and people”.

World Book Day, also known as World Book and Copyright Day is an annual event organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading, publishing, and copyright.
The first World Book Day was celebrated on 23 April in 1995, and continues to be recognized on that day.
