Berhampur: Berhampur Police has made an elaborate traffic arrangement to cope with the traffic rush during the Durga Puja celebrations.
In a statement, the Berhampur police said, “Durga Puja festival is going to be celebrated in Berhampur Town from 01.10.22 to 07.10.22. Considering the rush in traffic, the following traffic arrangement is made for public convenience from 4 PM to 12 midnight daily on the above mentioned days:
I – No Entry for Heavy Vehicles from 4 PM to 12 MIDNIGHT:
1) No heavy vehicles including buses coming from Bhubaneswar side will be allowed through Lanjipalli bypass to Kamapalli chawk.
2) No heavy vehicles including Buses will be allowed from Haladiapadar Chawk towards town through Andha Pasara Chawk.
The heavy vehicles including buses from both directions will be diverted towards town through Gopalpur Junction and Khadasingh. They will move to New Bus Stand has stand through Court Peta chawk.
The vehicles which will move from New bus stand towards NH will move through Gatebazar, SBI Road, Suba Rao raod, TATA Benz Chawk, Kamapali, court Peta Chawk, Engineering School Chawk and Gopalpur Junction.
3) No heavy vehicles including Buses coming from Aska and Digapahandi side will be allowed from Haradakhandi petrol pump chawk towards Andhapasara Chawk. They will move to New bus stand through Gatebazar, SBI Road, Suba Rao road, TATA Benj Chawk, Kamapali, court Peta.
II – No Entry for Four wheelers and Auto Rickshaws from 4 PM to 12 Midnight (Allowed only for people whose houses are in this area)
1) Khalikot College Chawk to Suba Rao Chawk
2) Balunkeswari Chawk to Badabazar
3) Taluka Chawk to Desibehera Chawk
4) Giri Market Chawk to Hanuman bazaar Chawk.
III. One-way
Court Peta Chawk to Gatebazaar Road. (No vehicle will be allowed from Gate bazar side towards Court Peta chawk)
