Berhampur: Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M has reviewed the security and traffic arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath.
As the public will be allowed to witness the Rath Yatra after a gap of two years, the Berhampur Police has taken all necessary measures to ensure safe conduct of the annual festival of the Trinity in all areas under the Berhampur Police district, said the SP.
Saravana Vivek, who visited the famous Jagannath temple of Gosaninuagan in Berhampur to take stock of the preparedness for the Rath Yatra, said that that police personnel would be deployed in adequate numbers for the festival.
A coordination meeting was conducted by the SDPOs and IICs of all police stations along with executive magistrates and temple organizers regarding the smooth conduct of Rath Yatra in all police station areas of Berhampur police district, he said.
The SP has also requested the public to extend their cooperation for the smooth conduct of the festival.
