Gopalpur: “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of it’s people, culture and achievements. In this regard NSS PG units celebrating Amrit Mahotsav Week in collaboration with Sports Council, Cultural Council has organsied several competitions like essay, song, dance, painting, poetry, debate.
On 13th August 2022 NSS PG Units has organized a mega “Har Ghar Triranga Rally” and Mega Human Chain formation.
The programme was started at 1.30 PM with Flag hosting by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Geetanjali Dash followed by national anthem by Army band.
After that Mega “Har Ghar Triranga Rally” has been started in which more than 500 students, teachers and staffs have joined with holding flag. The students were wore tri colour t-shirts to make the atmosphere more patriotic. After making rally around 2 km in the campus all the members were assembled in the auditorium for a formal meeting. In such meting the Chief guest was lt. General U.V. Talur, Army Air Defence College, Golabandha along with Prof. Geetanjali Dash, Vice-Chancellor, Rajendra Kumar Ranjit, Registrar, Prof. PK Mohanty, Chairman, PG Council have joined the meeting as guest.
The programme starts with a national anthem and a patriotic pledge taking ceremony was conducted followed by signature camp. Prof. P.K Swain, Head Dept. of Odia, Prof. Ganesh Sethi, Secretary Sports Council and Sri Sakti Ranjan Dash, NSS PO had moderate the session. The official meeting was over with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jayanta Kumar Panda, NSS Programme coordinator. After the meeting all the memebers were proceed to university Stadium along with guest and formed a mega human chain displaying a 100 feet long India map of tricolor and a round circle. There was a mass National Anthem gaan by all the members. The programme was over a graet cheer and joy of bande maa taram. Dr. Iqbal Ahmad Bhat, NSS PO, Alita Minz, NSS PO along with Rabindra Mishra, Sports officer have coordinated the event.
