Bharat Bandh: Odisha Govt Asks Collectors to Take Preventive Measures to Maintain Law and Order

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has urged the Collectors of all districts to take preventive measures to maintain law and order, and ensure maintenance of essential services in their respective districts in view of Bharat Bandh call given by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) tomorrow.

The Home department has asked the District Collectors and Magistrates to ensure essential services are not affected due to the strike.

“The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has given Bharat Trade Bandh Call on 26.02.2021 from 6.00 AM to 6. 00 PM demanding simplification of GST and on some other issues. It is apprehended that activists may stop vehicular traffic, rail traffic and close down business establishments and picket before Government Offices, Banks and Educational Institutions etc. You are, therefore, requested to take all preventive measures to maintain Law & Order and to ensure maintenance of essential services in the district”, a letter issued by the Home Department to the Collectors reads.
