BJD Begins Three Day Protests Against LPG Price Hike

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal has started a three day protest agitation against the unprecedented price rise of LPG gas. The statewide protests and demonstrations started today from the Revenue Divisional Commissioner Office in Cuttack. All the three BJD wings including Biju Chatra Janata Dal, Biju Juba Janata Dal and Biju Mahila Janata Dal are staging dharnas in front of the RDC Office in Cuttack and Block offices under it. In Bhubaneswar, BJD workers are demonstrating in front of the ADM office and they will hand over a memorandum to the ADM. BJD workers were seen on the roads with sloganeering against the Central Government and LPG price hike. Some women workers took to the road to cook food on chulahs as a mark of protest.

The BJD had yesterday announced a three day protest in front of the RDC offices and from 22nd November to 24th November. While it is protesting in front of the Central RDC today, the party workers will demonstrate before the Southern RDC and Western RDC on 23rd and 24th November respectively. Its workers will also stage protests in front of the Block offices also.

The party intends to sensitize common man about the Centre’s inability in controlling the price of LPG.
