Bhubaneswar: In another step towards reaching its goal of total vaccination in the capital city, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation today organized a special Vaccination Drive for the IT professionals.
The drive was organized in association with the IT Department, Govt of Odisha and Odisha Computer Application Center at the OCAC Tower. Professionals belonging to the 18+ category were administered the Covaxin vaccine. BMC Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Singh and IT Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra took special interest in organizing the drive.
OCAC and NASSCOM Odisha provided the ground support and arranged the modalities for the special drive. This is a welcome step by BMC as IT professionals had also had to travel outside for which vaccination is compulsory. All major IT companies of Bhubaneswar participated in the drive. If required, more such drives will be conducted in the coming days.
