BMC to Follow ‘Ganjam Model’ to Curb Covid-19, Prepares Micro Plan

Bhubaneswar: A day after Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik instructed the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) to follow the Ganjam Model for curbing the Coronavirus, the city’s civic body today has come up with a comprehensive micro plan to control the Covid-19 Situation.

Spelling out the detail plan of action of the civic body, Additional Commissioner, BMC, Parul Patwari said, as many as 565 rapid response teams to be formed for health screening in slum and other areas.

Speaking exclusively to thenewsroom.co.in she said, as part of the micro plan, the BMC staff to collect bio medical waste from the houses where infected persons are in isolation.

Besides, consultation will be made through video conference with the patient who is in home isolation, she told.

Strict monitoring will be done whether the patients are following the Covid-19 norms or not, she added.
