Bhubaneswar: In yet another successful operation, the Special Task Force of Odisha Crime Branch today seized brown sugar worth 1.325 kg from Balasore. A special team of the STF conducted raids based on specific intelligence inputs and seized the narcotics from near the bus stand. Along with the contraband, officials also arrested the peddler Sk Riyazuddin of Banka Khajuri under Sunahat Police station in Balasore Town. The value of the Brown Sugar is worth Rs 1.30 crore. He will be forwarded to the court today.
Due to sustained drive in 2020 so for the STF alone has seized 16 Kg 711 Grams of Brown Sugar and detected 21 cases including this case against drug peddlers. So far the STF has arrested as many as 41 drug peddlers.
