Bhubaneswar: The Budget Session of Odisha Assembly will start today with Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal addressing the members of the house.
The session, divided into two phases, will continue till 9th April and a number of important bills will be discussed apart from the presentation of the State Budget for the financial year 2020-21. Finance minister Niranjan Pujari will present the annual budget on 18th February.
While the opposition led by BJP is going to bring in many issues such as the PM Awas Yojana and Law and order situation, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said that the government is ready to face all the questions in the Assembly.
The ruling party has decided to raise issues like lower allocation to state for railways, dilution of state share in central taxes among other issue.
