Centre Issues Guidelines for Religious Places, Hotels ahead of Opening up from June 8

New Delhi: The Centre has issued detailed guidelines for restaurants, malls, hotels and religious places ahead of opening up from June 8:

Here are details:

For Religious places

* Touching of statues/idols / holy books not allowed.
* Play devotional music/songs & choir/singing groups not be allowed
* Avoid physical contact while greeting
* Common prayer mats be avoided
* No physical offerings like Prasad or sprinkling of holy water

For Restaurants

* staggering of patrons to be done, if possible
* seating arrangement to be made for adequate social distancing, not more than 50% of seating capacity permitted
* Disposable menus to be used
* Instead of cloth napkins, use of good quality disposable paper napkin

For malls

* temperature setting of all AC devices be in the range of 24-30C, relative humidity should be in the range of 40-70%
* Gaming arcades, children playareas, cinema halls inside malls to remain closed
* In food courts & restaurants, not more than 50% of seating capacity

For Hotels

* Only asymptomatic staff, guests allowed
* All staff and guests to be allowed entry only if using face cover/masks to be worn at all times
* Luggage should be disinfected before sending luggage to rooms
* Use of escalators with 1 person on alternate steps encouraged
