New Delhi: Kerosene users in the State are going to have hard time as the Centre has slashed the subsidized kerosene quota of Odisha from two and half liter per ration card to 2 litre from 1st of August, Minister, Civil Supply Ranendra Pratap Swain said today.
Answering a question in the floor, Swain said subsidized kerosene is being supplied to over 3 crore people in the State. Since Centre has reduced the State’s quota of kerosene, the beneficiaries would also get less subsidized kerosene, Swain added.
The Odisha Government is taking all steps to provide kerosene to all beneficiaries who does not have ration card at non subsidized price, Swain further added.
Meanwhile all Collectors have been asked to submit their requirement of non-subsided kerosene.
