Bhubaneswar:The Chandrayaan-2 mission has achieved 98 per cent of its objectives said, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman K Sivan today here in city.
Speaking to media here in Bhubaneswar, Sivan said, scientists are still working hard to establish contact with lander ‘Vikram’.
Throwing light on orbiter, he said, “Chandrayaan-2 orbiter is doing well,”
Sivan said that ISRO is now focusing on another moon mission by 2020.
“Discussion is going on about the future plan… nothing is finalised. Our focus is on an unmanned mission by next year,” he said.
However, the ISRO chief said that they have to understand what exactly happened to the lander.
A national-level committee comprising academicians and ISRO experts are analysing the cause of the communication loss with ‘Vikram’. As soon as we receive any data, necessary steps will be taken,” Sivan said
