Chief Secy Reviews Progress of Construction Work for 650-Bedded SLN Medical College and Hospital in Koraput

Koraput: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra today visited the proposed 650-bedded SLN Medical College and Hospital in Koraput district.

The Chief Secretary has reviewed the progress of construction work for the medical college hospital.

In order to strengthen healthcare services in Koraput, the State Government has decided to construct a new 650-bed building attached to SLN Medical College and Hospital, which is targeted to be completed by the end of 2023.

Upon completion, it will give major boost to the medical education and cater to health-care needs of the people in the region. During his visit, the Chief Secretary also reviewed the progress of the Bharatmala Pariyojana in the district.
Under the project, at least 245 km of the existing road in Koraput and Nabarangpur districts are to be developed into four lanes with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
