Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated 98-year-old woman Annapurna Biswal for successfully winning the battle against COVID-19.
The Chief Minister said that the nonagenarian’s victory will inspire others to stay strong as Odisha fights the second wave of the pandemic.
“Congratulations to nonagenarian Annapurna Biswal, a resident of Bhubaneswar, who successfully won the battle against COVID-19. Her victory will inspire others to stay strong as #Odisha fights 2nd wave of the pandemic”, tweeted the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Annapurna Biswal of the Chandrashekharpur area here had tested positive for Covid-19 on May 5. She was admitted to the SUM Covid Hospital for treatment.
Biswal was suffering from filaria, hypertension and diabetes before the virus attacked her. But she responded to the medication and turned around within a week’s time, according to reports.
