Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra will brief the media today at 4:30 pm. Today’s briefing assumes significance as the Covid-19 situation in the state remains stressed despite lockdown for the last two weeks. Odisha has been reporting about ten thousand new positive cases for the last few days and districts such as Khordha and Sundargarh are reporting high caseloads.
The state government may take a decision as other states to extend the lockdown imposed or may make specific changes in the strategy to contain the virus in high case load areas. Along with Chief Secretary, NMH Director Shalini Pandit and Bhubaneswar Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Singh will also be present during the Press Briefing.
