Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) as six government-run Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of State have made it to the list of India’s ‘Top 100 ITI’ released by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Directorate general of training (DGT) under the aegis of MSDE has conducted grading of ITIs. Six ITIs of the Odisha were among the best 100 ITIs in the country.
ITI Berhampur stood first in the state having All India Rank 12 followed by Government ITI Hinjlicut (21), ITI Jajpur (31), ITI Cuttack (35), ITI Jharsuguda (47) and ITI Puri (96). As many as 12,352 ITIs have participated in the grading.
Expressing satisfaction over the achievement, the Odisha CM said that the State Government’s concerted effort to build a robust SkilledIn Odisha ecosystem to prepare the youth for the world is bringing fruitful result.
