Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has appreciated the efforts of Balangir Collector Arindum Dakua for making ready an exclusive 200-bed Odisha COVID hospital in short time.
The CM also praised the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences-PBM Hospital for joining hands with the Odisha Government for making the facility functional in short time to fight against COVID-19.
Even though, no positive case has been reported in Balangir district so far, the administration has taken a slew of precautionary measures to deal with the situation arising due to corona pandemic.
The district admin opened the standalone COVID hospital at the KISS campus in Balangir.
A three-tier treatment facility has been arranged in the district. The patients having mild symptoms would be treated at the Corona Care Centre at the primary level and with moderate level symptoms; the patient would be treated at the COVID Health Centre. And those having serious and positive symptoms would be treated at this COVID Hospital which has all the facilities for virus infected patients, district Collector Dakua said.
