Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned an amount of Rs 26 crore 29 lakh 71 thousand as Covid assistance for the Urban Street Vendors of the state.
According to a release from the CMO, “The second wave of the pandemic has deeply affected the lives of all and their livelihoods have been affected most. Because of the lockdowns imposed to contain the spread of the virus, urban street vendors have been economically affected very much. Keeping this in mind, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned an amount of Rs 26 crore 29 lakh 71 thousand from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the Urban Street Vendors.” This is going to help about 87 thousand 657 street vendors of the state.
