Berhampur: The Ganjam district administration today sealed a coaching centre here for allegedly violating the COVID-19 guidelines.
The coaching centre ‘Praxis The English Lab’ situated in Gajapati Nagar in Berhampur city was sealed for conducting classes disregarding the guidelines imposed by the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As per reports, the institute conducted class inside centre while the doors were closed outside.
On getting information about it, the district administration officials rushed to the centre and found nearly 20 students were taking class.
The authorities have sealed the centre immediately and owner of centre was issued a show cause notice.
Notably, schools, colleges, and other educational/ training/ coaching institutions, etc. will remain closed in Odisha till July 31 as part of the measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, according to an order issued by the Special Relief Commissioner.
