Congress Demands Arrest of Pradeep Panigrahi

Gopalpur: The Congress today demanded arrest of expelled BJD leader Pradeep Panigrahi in connection with the job fraud case.

The Gopalpur unit of Congress submitted a memorandum to Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra seeking strong legal action against the MLA and his supporters, including brother Dilip Panigrahy, liquor trader Surya Sahu, for allegedly cheating innocent youths in the pretext of offering jobs.

The congress leaders alleged that Pangrahi has duped the youths of lakhs of rupees by giving them assurance of employment at Tata Motors with the help of his would-be son-in-law Akash Pathak.

Earlier on Sunday, the BJP also demanded criminal proceedings against Pradeep Panigrahy who was expelled from BJD for “anti-people activities.

At a time when the people are batting with lockdown, Panigrahi was flying with charted flights, a Congress activist said.
