Puri: A day after the Centre gave its nod, the construction of chariots of the Holy Trinity of Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri began on Friday morning. The Maharana Sebakas of the temple today started construction process by maintaining social distance norms. While the whole area has been separated by makeshift walls, strict security measures have been enforced to avoid crowd gathering.
Earlier, the temple managing committee has recommended for construction of the chariots. A meeting held yesterday between Collector Balwant Singh, Maharana servitors and Temple Managing Committee representatives had decided that the Ratha construction would begin at 8 am today. It was decided that the construction work will continue from 8 am in the morning to 10 pm in the night and all guidelines prescribed by the center will be adhered by the servitors and administration.
