Bhubaneswar: In a bid to guide people manage anxiety and lead a stress-free life amid COVID-19 lockdown, the Odisha Health and Family Welfare department has issued an advisory in this regard.
“The lockdown phase is a testing time for all of us. It is absolutely normal to feel anxious. Follow the advisory to manage your anxiety & remain free from stress”, the health department said in a Twitter post.
The department urged the people to follow the below advisory to manage anxiety.
• Avoid excessive exposure to media coverage
• connect through calls/ext/internet
• Add extra time for daily stress relief
• Practice self-care
• Focus on your mental health
The department also suggested the parents to spend time with their kids and keep them engaged and manage their anxiety level.
“Kids are also becoming anxious during #lockdown. Spend time with your kids, reassure them about their safety, keep them engaged & manage their anxiety level”, it said.
