COVID-19 Lockdown: Puri Srimandir Servitors to Get Rs 5,000 Financial Assistance 

Puri: The servitors of Puri Srimandir will get Rs 5,000 financial assistance in the wake of economic hardships caused by the COVID-19 lockdown. 

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has taken a decision in this regard, according to reports.

The amount will be transferred to the bank accounts of the servitors.  

Earlier on Wednesday, the Odisha Government said that it would soon take a decision on whether to hold Puri Rath Yatra this year, given the unprecedented crisis caused by corona pandemic.

This year, the world famous Rath Yatra of Jagannath temple is scheduled to be held on June 23.
