COVID-19: Odisha Among Top Three States in Lowest CFR Rate in India

Bhubaneswar: In a significant progress in the battle against Covid-19 pandemic under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who leads from the front, Odisha has emerged as the top three states reporting lowest Case Fatality Rate (CFR) in the country.

Odisha’s CFR of 0.43% is also much below the national average of 1.70%.

In a tweet, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, “In a significant progress in the battle against Covid-19 pandemic, #Odisha is among three leading states reporting lowest Case Fatality Rate. State’s CFR of 0.43% is also much below the national average of 1.70%.”

Many national and international organisations have already applauded Odisha for its better Covid-19 management.

Odisha has done cumulative test of 22, 26, 436 so far and reported the caseload of 1,35,130. As many as 1,02,185 people have already been recovered from the virus.

Only 32, 312 active cases are there in the State.

The Odisha Government’s proactive steps, strategies and effective COVID-19 management have been able to contain Coronavirus in the State so far.
