COVID Resurgence: Punjab Bans Social Gatherings, Imposes Night Curfew in 11 Districts

New Delhi: In a major development, the Punjab Government has ordered a major crackdown; banning social gatherings in the 11 worst-hit districts of the state and closing educational institutions, other than medical and nursing colleges, till March 31 to curb the rise of Covid-19 cases in the State.

Punjab CM also ordered a 50% capacity limit in cinema halls and not more than 100 persons in a mall at any time.

He further asked people to keep ‘social activity’ at their household to the bare minimum for the next two weeks to break the transmission chain.
