Bhubaneswar: Daringbadi, the famous hill station in Odisha’s Kandhamal district, recorded the lowest temperature in the State on Monday.
According to Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, Daringbadi recorded 10 degree Celsius to remain the coldest place in Odisha.
It was followed by Phulbani at 11.3 degree Celsius.
Daringbadi is widely known as “Kashmir of Odisha” for its climatic similarity. It is situated at a height of 3000 ft and is a popular tourist destination in Odisha.
Besides Daringbadi and Phulbani, other places that experienced low temperatures are Sundargarh (12 degree Celsius) Koraput (13 degree Celsius) and Titlagarh (13.6 degree Celsius).
The temperature in the capital city Bhubaneswar was recorded at 18.9 degree Celsius, the IMD said.
