Depression Weakens Into Well-Marked Low Pressure; Rains Continue in Coastal and Southern Odisha Districts
Bhubaneswar: The remnants of Cyclone Michaung, the depression has weakened into a Well-Marked Low Pressure Area over Northeast Telangana.
Due its impact, many districts of southern and coastal Odisha continue to receive rains with some places getting heavy to very heavy rains.
According to the Meteorological Department, Pottangi in Koraput has received 106 mm rains in the last 24 hours.
Odisha has received an average rainfall of 6.5 mm. The MET Department has also issued Orange warning for Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Nuapada. Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over these districts.
