DGP Meets Family Members of Martyred SOG Commandos

Cuttack: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Sunil Kumar Bansal today met family members of two martyred Special Operation Group (SOG) Commandos – late Debashish Sethy and late Sudhir Tudu who were awarded the ‘Shaurya Chakra’ posthumously by President Ram Nath Kovind.

The DGP said that that being awarded ‘Shaurya Chakra’ is a moment of pride and honour not only for Odisha Police but also for the entire country.

The DGP felicitated the parents of martyred SOG Commandos.

Director of Intelligence Sanjeeb Panda and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

Sudhir Tudu and Debashish Sethy were posthumously awarded India’s third highest gallantry medal ‘Shaurya Chakra’ by President Ram Nath Kovind at the Defence Investiture Ceremony 2022 on Tuesday for their exceptional bravery, valour, courage and sacrifice during the anti-Maoist operation in Kalahandi.
