Dhenkanal: A junior assistant at the Block Education Office (BEO) in Kamakhyanagar, Dhenkanal district was arrested by vigilance sleuths for allegedly taking bribe from a primary school headmaster for facilitating release of his arrear salary.
The accused junior assistant has been identified as Jibanananda Satpathy.
The vigilance sleuths apprehended Satpathy while he was accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from the teacher.
In this connection Cuttack Vigilance PS case has been registered against the junior assistant. The investigation is underway, the vigilance said.
