Dhenkanal Collector Reviews COVID-19 Situation

Dhenkanal: Dhenkanal Collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera today reviewed the COVID-19 situation in the district with the officials.

The Collector reviewed the Covid-19 situation on new guidelines, vaccination, testing, awareness, enforcement, home isolation and restrictions on marriage/funeral through video conferencing with Sub-Collectors, CDPOs, BDOs, Tahasildars, & EOs in presence of PD DRDA, ADM and CDMO.

With less than five per cent test positivity rate (TPR), Dhenkanal has been placed with ‘A Category’ district along with 19 other districts in the State.
As per the fresh guidelines effective from July 1, there will be no weekly shutdown in category A districts and shops will remain open from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Buses will be allowed to ply with passengers up to the seating capacity and taxis and autorickshaws can carry a maximum of two passengers.

Daily markets and weekly haats can open, small salons can function, street food vendors can operate takeaway businesses, while outdoor and indoor film shooting has been permitted in these districts.
