Sambalpur: Dr. Lalit Kumar Meher on Wednesday took charge as the director of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla in Sambalpur district.
Prior to this, Dr. Meher served as the Dean and Principal of Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital, Balangir.
The Odisha Government had issued the appointment of Dr. Meher on June 3.
The post of director at VIMSAR had been lying vacant after Aswini Pujahari resigned on Feb 9 last year.
