Bhubaneswar: India’s fastest running woman sprinter Dutee Chand has started her current season with a gold medal at the National Inter-university Women’s Athletics Championships being held at Bhubaneswar. Dutee, who holds India’s 100 meter title, and had won the Gold Medal at the 2019 World University Games, won today’s gold in 100m finals in 11.44 seconds. She is representing KIIT University which is also the hosting the championships.
In the 400 meters race, ace runner Priya Mohan won the gold medal with her personal best of 52.58 seconds in the final. It is also a new meet record in 400 meters. The Championships are being organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities.
