Bhubaneswar: The Annual Plus II (Intermediate) Examination in the State will be held from March 3, 2020, and conclude on March 28, 2020, informed the Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Examination Controller Bijay Kumar Sahoo today.
The full schedule of the annual examination for various streams including Arts, Commerce, Science, Vocational, distance education (correspondence courses) has been also announced.
“While exams for the Science stream will be held between March 3 and 28, Commerce stream will take place between March 4 and 26.
Similarly, the examination for Arts stream will be held between March 4 and 27, and Vocational stream between March 16 and 28.
students, however have to appear for the practical/project exams prior to the theory examinations, which will begin on January 27 and end on February 5, he said.
The results of the Plus II Science and Commerce streams will be announced by may 2nd week and the results of Art and Vocational Courses will be out by May last week, Sahoo further informed.
Informing about the arrangements, he said, CCTV installation at all the examination centres has been made mandatory and instructions in this regard have been also issued. A control unit will be set up at the CHSE office to monitor the examinations in real-time, adding examination centres which fail to install CCTV will be disqualified.
When asked about the measures to check my practices, Sahoo said, squads will be formed to keep a strict vigil on such activities.
“In order to check the leak of question papers, the question paper packets will be marked with bar codes,” said Sahoo.
The CHSC also planning to usedigital technology to curb question paper going viral on social networking sites and messaging applications.
It may be mentioned here that the form fill-up of the Annual Plus II Examination has been completed by December 24, 2019. As per reports, 3,49,054 students-2,018,833 in Arts stream, 25,770 in Commerce stream, 97,536 in Science stream, and 717 in vocational courses have filled up the form to appear in the annual Plus II examination.
