Malkangiri: As Odisha Government has intensified its fight against coronavirus, Development Commissioner Suresh Mahapatra and Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian today took stock of preparedness in Malkangiri district to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
The senior officials, who reached here to review various steps taken by the district administration in response to the corona pandemic, visited the dedicated COVID-19 hospital opened on the premises of old DHH.
During their visit, the Development Commissioner and Secretary to CM (5T) reviewed various facilities available at the hospital, including isolation wards, ICU facility and availability of medicines.
They also discussed with district Collector Manish Agarwal about enforcement of lockdown and arrangements made for the migrant workers stranded in the district from other states.
They also urged the district administration to facilitate the agricultural activities including movement of agricultural produce, speedy implementation of MGNREGA and taking care of the destitute and helpless people in view of extension of COVID-19 lockdown.
