Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated 10 more ‘transformed schools’ in Hinjli in the third phase of the ambitious High School Transformation programme under the 5-T initiative of the State Government.
The schools are Govindapur High School, Sheragada; Ganesh Bidyapitha, Gandala, Hinjilicut; Krushnachai High School, Krushnachai, Sheragada; Allapur High School, Allapur, Ralaba, Hinjilicut; Panchayat High School, Alarigada; Syamalai Bidyapitha, Podingi, Burupada, Hinjilicut; Dhabalpur High School, Dhabalpur, Sheragada; Saru High School, Saru, Hinjilicut; Kurula Govt. High School, Kurula, Sheragada and Government High School, Kanchuru, Hinjilicut.
With this, all the government-run high schools in Hinjili Assembly Constituency have been transformed with modern facilities. This is the first such High School Transformation initiative in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that this transformation will encourage the realization of the bright future of the children.
This new opportunity and new environment of the schools has created a desire for the children to come to school and attend classes.
It is this interest of the children that will pave the way for their success, he said.
These schools have undergone a massive facelift with the start-of-the-art facilities, such as smart classrooms, e-libraries, advanced science laboratories, clean drinking water, toilets and sports facilities. The schools look like modern private schools.
The “High School Transformation” programme has been launched on August 21 by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and under this 50 schools will be transformed in five phases in Hinjilicut.
Being directly supervised by Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian, the project will bring a paradigm shift in the education scenario in Odisha.
