Fuel Prices Hiked Fourth Day in a Row

New Delhi: Fuel prices witnessed upward trend for the fourth day in a row as state-owned fuel retailers resumed daily rate revision after 18 days long hiatus.

Petrol price was hiked by 28 paise per litre and diesel by 31 paise a litre, as per a price notification of state-owned fuel retailers.

The cost of petrol is now Rs 91.27 a litre and diesel Rs 81.73 a litre in the national capital.
Rates have been increased across the country and vary from state to state depending on the local incidence of taxation (VAT).
