Parlakhemundi: The Gajapati district administration is distributing medicines and offering medical counselling to the patients infected by coronavirus.
A team of doctors, paramedics, teachers and support staff under the active supervision of Executive Officer, Paralakhemundi Municipality has been engaged for the distribution of medicine at Biju Kalyan Mandap testing centre here.
The centre is playing a major role in counselling the patients, who have many apprehensions and are in a state of panic after become COVID positive.
As part of 3T (Testing, Tracing & Treatment) measures, the health team is distributing medicine kits instantly to the patients at the testing centre and providing medical counselling to them for a quick recovery, Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha informed.
There are 17 such centres in the district for the COVID-19 patients, he added.
