Berhampur: Superintendent of Bhanjanagar Sub Divisional Hospital in Ganjam district was caught red handed by vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting bribe.
Dr.Pitambar Dash was caught red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 to conduct hernia operation of a patient.
According to reports, Dash allegedly demanded the money from one Bhanumati Barik to conduct hernia operation of her husband who has been admitted in the surgery ward (Bed No.47) of the hospital.
The bribe amount has been recovered and seized from Dash’s left side pant pocket, sources said.
A case has been registered against the superintendent.
