Puri: The State Government has sanctioned Rs Five crore for setting up of a modern state of the art Rahunandan Library in Puri.
The Library will be setup on the land of Emar Matha with better infrastructure. Speaking to reporters, district collector Balwant Singh has said that the government is committed to conserve the heritage of the library. All books of the demolished library are kept safely and they will be digitized by the government.
Old manuscripts and books of the Raghunandan Library are being preserved by technical experts.
The new library will house more manuscripts and literature relating to Jagannath Temple and Culture.
