High School Transformation Programme: Odisha Govt Starts Digital Content Mapping for E-Content Development
Bhubaneswar: While the high school transformation programme is going at full throttle under 5T initiative, the Odisha Government is giving a big push to the programme by developing digital content for the students.
Under the 5T high school transformation programme, the government schools are getting state-of-the-art facilities with smart classrooms, e-library, modern laboratory, improved sanitation, and playground.
The School and Mass Education Department is taking steps to design e-content for the existing curriculum for IX and X classes.
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has recently conducted a state level workshop for Digital Content mapping with existing curriculum for development of e-content, which will be incorporated during curriculum transcation in smart classrooms of transformed high schools.
The OSEPA has listed the vast possible number of digital content (picture, audio, video, PPT) chapter wise for subjects such as Odia, English, Mathematics, Science, Hindi, Sanskrit, Social Science of grade IX and X.
The digital content aligned with the prescribed syllabus of Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will be used in the blended mode of learning for creating interest and making teaching learning process enjoyable, informed Anupam Saha, State Project Director, OSEPA.
Notably, as many as 1,075 schools have been transformed in the first phase. All the government and aided schools in the State will come under the transformation programme in a phased manner, announced Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik earlier.
