Rourkela: The Indian Hockey team will today play its second Pool match of the FIH Odisha Hockey World Cup 2023 against England at the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium, Rourkela.
After the win in the first match against Spain, the Indian team seems to be in a winning mood, but the rival England Team is likely to give tough fight. Both teams will face each other after their opening game wins. While England had defeated Wales 5-0, India had defeated Spain with 2-0 goals. A win in the match will take India to the top position in the Pool D points table. It will also gain the chance for a knockout entry into the quarter finals. Both the teams have played eight matches in World Cup against each other in which the English team has won four times and the Indian team has won three times.
