New Delhi: The Ministry of Human Resource and Development (HRD) will be renamed as Ministry of Education.
The HRD Ministry has proposed to change its current name to Ministry of Education.
A final decision will be taken in a Cabinet meeting today.
A group of experts, led by former ISRO chief K Kasturirangan, had first proposed the name of the ministry should be changed as per the recommendation in the draft New Education Policy to focus on education and learning.
