IDCO Donates Rs 10 Crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Relief & Restoration Works in Fani-Hit Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Joining hands with the Odisha Government in the relief and restoration works in cyclone Fani-affected areas in the State, Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) today extended financial support for this purpose.

IDCO, a nodal agency working for the development of infra facilities for the growth of industries, trade and commerce in Odisha, has donated Rs 10 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the rebuilding the Fani-ravaged State.

Principal Secretary (Industry) Sanjeev Chopra and IDCO Chairman-cum-Managing Director Sanjay Kumar Singh handed over a cheque bearing Rs 10 core to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat in Bhubaneswar.

The Chief Minister’s appeal to help the state rebuild itself after the devastating cyclone received huge support from several organizations and individuals from Odisha and beyond the State.

Apart from IDCO, 18 more organizations and individuals on Friday came forward generously with financial contribution to rebuild the State.

Paradeep Phosphates Limited donated Rs 1.15 crore to the CMRF, Odisha Samaj UAE contributed Rs 3 lakh, Retired Diploma Engineers Association Rs 61,000, MD TRL Krosaki Refractories Ltd Rs 30 lakh and Jagannath Seva Samiti from Kolkata donated Rs 60,000, an official statement said.

Cuttack-based Recreation Club of Postal Accounts donated Rs 25, 000, KC Pradhan donated Rs 1 lakh, Odisha Revenue Service Association donated Rs 3 lakh, Narendra Nath Jena from Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre in Madurai donated Rs 50,000.

Parsuram Mitra, a resident of Bhubaneswar donated Rs 1 lakh and Rashmi Metaliks Limited donated Rs 50 lakh.

Handlooms Minister Snehangini Chhuria donated Rs 1 lakh, Rodion Solutions Private Limited donated Rs 1 lakh, AKM Agro Processing donated Rs 2 lakh, All India Weavers Welfare & Charitable Trust from Hinjilicut contributed Rs 23,217, Bhubaneswar Truck Owner’s Association donated Rs 1,11,111 and Matrudutta Barik donated Rs 10,000.

In total, the Odisha Government received Rs 12,20,50,328 from 19 organizations and individuals on Friday.

The CM thanked the organizations and individuals for extending their support for rebuilding the State.
