Berhampur: In a major breakthrough against illegal pan masala racket, Berhampur Sub Collector Shinde Dattatraya Bhausaheb on Saturday raided and seized three factories and godowns of illegal gutkha manufacturers in Gurunthi and Hugalapatta Grampanchayat of Kukudakhandi block.
Production materials, finished products and raw materials worth 1.5 Crore were seized and handed over to Sadar Police. The Sadar police has arrested 8 persons and registered a case. Tehsildar Kukudakhandi and IIC Sadar PS accompanied the Sub collector in the raids.
