Independence Day: Weekend Shutdown Relaxed up to 11 AM on August 15 in Four Districts and Rourkela

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has relaxed the weekend shutdown on August 15 up to 11 AM in four districts – Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack and Khordha, and Rourkela Municipal Corporation area to allow the citizens to unfurl National Flag on the occasion of Independence Day.

In an order, the office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SPC) said that the weekend shutdown imposed in the districts of Ganjam, Khordha, Gajapati and Cuttack and Rourkela Municipal Corporation is hereby relaxed on August 15 up to 11 am to allow the citizens to unfurl National Flag at their premises subject to condition.

Not more than 10 persons shall be congregated at any place and all safety protocols, such as social distancing, wearing masks, proper sanitization shall be duly maintained, the order stated.
