Bhubaneswar: Odisha police ranked 3rd among 18 large and medium sized states in policing in “India Justice Report-2020” published by Tata Trust.
As per the report, Odisha’s place in police ranking is the result of the state’s efforts to increase policing capacity since 2017. The State has also improved in the the caste diversity amongst officers, the report stated.
Besides, women personnel have also increased but has also increased to 10 percent.
Similarly, the share of women officers has also increased from 8 per cent to 11 percent in the State.

The State has also utilized only 10 percent of its Modernisation Fund, the report stated.
