New Delhi: Amid expectations that the Modi Government will bring major reforms boosting growth, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Union Budget 2020-21 in the Lok Sabha today.
In a major announcement in her budget speech, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government will run Kisan Rail for the farmers through Public-Private Partnership financing model for helping transport the perishable goods. Also, Kisan Udaan (Flight Services) will also be started.
Data Centres
She also announced that “Soon a policy for private sector to build Data Centre Parks throughout the country will be developed. Our vision is that all public institutions should be provided with digital connectivity.”
While the common man is expecting income tax rate cut, the industry is pinning hopes on bold initiatives to revive economic growth.
