Bhubaneswar: Former judge of Orissa High Court Justice Bimal Prasad Das today took charge as the chairperson of Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC).
Das’ appointment was approved by Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal on August 22.
He has replaced Justice Raghubir Dash was officiating as the acting chairman of the commission since May 16, 2019.
After assuming the charge, Das said that priority will be given to use of modern technology and early hearing of the pending cases.
