Ghatgaon: Keonjhar Collector Ashish Thakare has reviewed the preparation for the Chaitra Parva at famous Maa Tarini Temple at Ghatgaon.
The Collector along with SP and other senior officials visited the shrine to review the preparation for the festival, which is scheduled to begin from April 9.
In normal condition nearly three lakhs of devotes are assembled to observe the Chaitra Parva of Maa Tarini and unless restrictions are imposed, the crowd will be uncontrolled.
In view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation, the district administration has imposed restriction to avoid huge gathering and has prepared guidelines to hold the festival by adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols.
Earlier, the district Collector held meeting with Maa Tarini Thakurani Managing Committee in this regard.
As per the decision, only nitikanti will be performed as usual. No Bhoga/Arpan will be allowed by the devotes. The universal Darshan to the deity will be allowed on the proceeding days of opening.
New shops will not be allowed in the nearby areas. Mela/ Gathering on the pretext of service of Pana/Phogo to the devotees are to be discouraged.
Live telecast of rituals through electronic media are allowed for the devotees, the administration said.
Any kind of cultural program like Pala, opera show, film show, Prabachan etc. are not be carried out, it added.
